The Scientific Method
We will be going over the Scientific Method and its processes. Review the power point and videos, you will need to take notes and create vocabulary for this section. You can keep your notes either digitally or on a notebook. I will leave that choice to you. I will have some templates and guides on how to take notes available for you.
Pre-Assessment-Schoology
You will be taking a pre-assessment on The Scientific Method. In order to do this you will have to create an account on Schoology. If you click on the link below, it will take you to Schoology. You will then sign in as a student. If you have a log-in you can use your login and join a course. Select the Biology Section 1. If you don't have a log-in create one then join the course. The course code is TRQS7-W5BHV. Once you have logged in, then you can start the assessment. Do the assessment before you start the assignments.
Scientific Method Information
The following is a power point that reviews the Scientific Method. I have also included some videos to help in the understanding of the content. You will need your notebook to take notes on this power point and the videos attached. Also, make sure you note any vocabulary terms that you will need or you feel you don't understand. I have left a list after the videos on the must know vocabulary, but if you have extras, that is great. I will check these notes before you take your exam. This will let me know if you have information to make you successful in proceeding with this section and if you truly understand the topic.

Scientific Method Lab
Based on the information that you have learned, you will now perform an experiment to see how much you have learned about the scientific method. The lab worksheet will guide you, but you need to use your brains to conduct the experiment. You may work with a partner, but you need to answer the question on the worksheet. I do not want copied answers so they should be similar, not copied. If I'm seeing the exact mistake, I know you copied. When you are done with your experiment you will have to write a one page summary on this experiment. If you need assistance, I will help but I will not give you answers, you will have to figure them out on your own. Remember, you must score a 75 or better on all your assignment or you will have to redo it.
